Whilst under hypnosis you are not unconscious but your consciousness has been diminished somewhat so that your subconscious mind can be accessed and be able to take directions. Because often it is our perception of ourselves, events or situations that are the root of the problem rather than the actual reality. Your subconscious mind is where blocked memories, traumatic events, fears and self doubts are. Everything that you have done or said, had done to you or said to you is inside the depths of your mind. Your conscious mind is usually unaware of the clutter that hides inside the subconscious. But you can often experience the control that your subconscious has over you first hand when you try to stop a bad habit, overcome a fear, or believe in yourself. Hypnosis is used to speak to your subconscious in a way that it understands, using patterns, repetition and suggestions to reinforce positive behaviour. Hypnosis has been used to stop smoking, lose weight, sooth anxiety, enhance performance and even overcome fears and self doubts. It has the ability to change your life. Think of all that you could accomplish if you had no fear, were motivated and fully confident in yourself. The majority of us have something that holds us back.
